From cheddar and pineapple sticks at an 80's Christmas party to a perfectly ripe camembert baguette in a Parisian Cafe, cheese has always been a huge part of my life! Now, I'm turning my love of cheese into my profession and I hope to open up the wider world of cheese to as many people as possible.
I am originally from the UK and moved to Canada over 15 years ago and I believe that both of these countries don't get the respect they deserve for their cheesemaking. It is my goal to change that here in Halifax by providing curated selections of cheese on a monthly basis that showcase the best that both countries have to offer.
So that I can be as helpful as possible to those that would like to know more about the cheese that they are eating I have spent a lot of time educating myself about all aspects of cheese - from the types of milk used through to the best ways to package the final product. It has been an exciting journey so far and I can't wait to share what I've learned with my customers!
